The Activity program of “ArcDH” (Association for Human Rights of Azerbaijanis in Iran) at the 55th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council
The 55th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council is currently underway in Geneva, from 26 February, until 5 April 2024. Once again, “ArcDH” will undertake multiple activities, one of which includes issuing 1500-word statements, To this end, it has submitted three statements and they have already been published on the UN website. During the session, the focus will be on six main issues including highlighting violations of human rights of Azerbaijanis in Iran by the Islamic Republic of Iran.
ArcDH will hold a side event at the UN premises on 11 March 2024, to address the environmental disaster in Azerbaijani provinces in Iran, particularly the deliberately inflicted disaster of Lake Urmia, and the detention of Azerbaijani activists in Iran.
ArcDH will also protest in front of the UN building in Geneva against human rights violations of the Islamic Republic of Iran by detaining Azerbaijani activists, while the UN FFM on Iran presents a report on 18 March 2024.
