Arcdh Arc – Association for Human Rights of Azerbaijanis of Iran "ArcDH"
According to the Association for Human Rights of Azerbaijanis of Iran (ArcDH), on December 10, 2024, coinciding with Human Rights Day, Ms. Jaleh Tabrizi released a video message on her X account, stating:
“After the atrocities of World War II, peace-loving people established Human Rights Day for future generations. This year, under the theme ‘Our Rights, Our Future, Now,’ the focus is on the crucial role of human rights in crisis prevention, protecting rights, and driving social transformation, especially in times of crisis.”
Jaleh Tabrizi stated:
“Human rights concern all of us; they include the right to security, housing, employment, education, gender equality, freedom of expression, and a healthy environment. These rights are legal obligations for governments to ensure the well-being of their citizens.”
She also highlighted the struggles of past generations against discrimination and inequality, adding:
“Defending human rights is not only about fighting injustices but also about creating social change and supporting vulnerable groups.”
In conclusion, Ms. Tabrizi emphasized the need to strengthen civil society and strive for equality, justice, and peace, stating:
“Human rights are a threat to dictators and authoritarian and populist regimes.”
